IIT remains as one of the most prestigious engineering institutions of the country. Gaining admissions in one of its institutes require you to clear the entrance examination with reasonably competitive scores, followed by a personal interview. IIT JEE uses OMR sheets, which contain bubbles for marking the answers. Addmen, the leading provider of OMR software solutions in India, has been catering to IIT since 2006.
IIT JEE uses a complex exam pattern, and Addmen's OMR software can effectively design and evaluate the OMR sheets used in the exam. Here, we present the IIT JEE OMR sheet 2009 pattern.
2009 IIT JEE comprised of two papers, namely Paper-I and Paper-II.
Both sheets contain OMR blocks for collecting the candidate's information, like name, batch, roll no, test ID, test date, candidate and invigilator’s signature etc.
There’s also a section that contains sheet filling instructions.
Although both paper-I and paper-II typically have similar formats, there are some differences in the pattern of questions.
Paper-I has 60 questions in total, and Paper-II has 57.
Paper-I and Paper-II, both contain MCQ based questions with four answer choices each.
Students are required to mark one or two answer options, depending on the type of questions.
Both the papers also contain matrix type questions, which are a set of questions arranged together so that they are only one question.
Paper-II contains integer type questions, where one or two columns with 10 rows each containing digits from 1-0, based on whether the answer is a single-digit or a double-digit number, respectively.
