Follow the guidelines for printing properly, so that the printing of OMR sheets is perfect.
Don't make alterations to the size and the index points while designing or printing the OMR sheets.
One should not move the OMR circles from its place. Also, the location of these bubbles should not be changed while doing editing of the design. The bubbles should be left in their positions, as they were originally put by the designer.
Don't make alterations to the dimensions of the OMR bubbles.
The thickness of the lines around the bubbles should not be increased. The thickness around the bubbles is kept to the minimal so that there is not interference during reading. And, if the thickness is more, the optical reader will have confusion in reading and will treat it as a response.
Bold and large fonts should not be used for printing the text labels within the circles. The fonts will need to be kept small.
If the marking pattern is to be based on tick marks, then the colored OMR sheets will need to be used.
Take note that while printing colored sheets, black should be used as a mandatory color. The second color can be anything like Pink, Water-Blue, Light-Green or yellow family. Dark colors should be avoided.
The index points should remain and should not be removed.
The index points should not be disturbed.
The OMR design can be customized and details like logo, name and organisation name can be added later using CorelDraw.
Whatever printing method is used, the 4 Index points in black should be properly printed in the 4 corners of the sheet.
Only black and solid color should be used for printing the index points. In case the index points are not printed properly, then the scanning will not be done properly and users may face rejections while processing the sheets.
Nothing else should be printed within close range or outside the index points.
The printing should be done on the middle of the page and there should be enough white blank space on all the 4 corners.
If there are any margins for cutting and tearing, then it should be kept a little far from index points.
If there are any faults or any kind of misprinting, then it should be removed and such sheets should not be used.
