All students appearing for IIT JEE are required to solve two question papers, Paper-I and paper-II. Although both tests are conducted using OMR answer sheets, the test patterns and the layout of these papers are different. IIT entrance exams use complex question patterns and scoring systems as per their requirements. IIT JEE tests contain MCQ based questions, integer type questions, and matrix type questions.
Both paper-I and paper-II of the OMR sheet of IIT 2012 contain blocks on the left for writing and filling roll no. and test ID, and blocks to the right for writing the name, batch, mobile number, and test date. Below, you’ll find the sheet filling instructions and a space provided for the signatures of the candidate and invigilator.
Paper I is comprised of 60 questions, divided into three sections.
The first section contains 45 MCQ based questions, with four options each.
There may be two correct answers for some questions, for which the students will only gain the scores by marking both the correct answers.
The second section comprises 15v integer type questions based on numerical solutions, in which case the answer options are provided in a matrix style layout with one or two columns and ten rows containing the numbers 0-9.
Paper II also has 60 questions divided into three sections, and all questions are based on simple MCQ patterns, with four options each.
