The elections that are conducted at the state or central level do make use of the voting machines. Since they are operated electronically the counting of the votes become easy. The process is immensely strict thus making it impossible to hack or conduct any fraudulent practice. This kind of voting process is extremely popular but at times several organizations do not get the voting machines. The OMR ballot sheet can be extremely helpful in such scenarios.
In the OMR ballot paper template there would be little boxes or bubbles against the names of each candidate. It is up to the election committee to determine the type marking system that has to be set for voting. Then the voters are to be informed in the manner in which they can vote. For instance it could be a rubber stamp mark or a tick mark.
After the voting is done the OMR sheets are sent for scanning. Scanned images are moved to the computers. These computers would have OMR software. With the help of the software the sheets are read. As the reading is completed the results are published in the output file. This file is in the form of excel sheet.
There can be several sections within the election sheet. So the results would be processed differently and published accordingly. The OMR software is capable of reading as many as 3 to 4 sheets. It takes only one second for the software to read those four sheets. Thus the process of counting becomes easy and quick.
